How is the Gospel Karaoke Night different? Well, I can almost say confidently that everyone at least loves some sort of music. Music has a way of taking all the stress away when you sing or dance. For this reason, most people go out during most nights just to have fun let the music take control of you. However, in Nairobi and most parts of the country, going out means going to the local clubs and dance to secular music. What happens if you are not into secular music? Does that mean that you will forever be in your house and listen to gospel or religious music in your living room.
Well, Gospel Karaoke Night is a rather new event that offers something different in Nairobi. The last event which went down on July 6th this year attracted many Christians and now the event returns on this Saturday, September 7th. The event will take place at the Petma Restaurant.
There are various songs that people can sing along to and the winners stand a chance of winning great prizes. The winner of the last event, Moses Karani, was lucky to get a recording deal from Ogopa Deejays. I am hoping that this time it will even get better and therefore I think it is a great place for christians with talent to showcase their talent. You never know who will see you.
However, Karaoke is all about having fun. You do not have to sing like Eunice Njeri, or rap like Lecrae in order to participate. It is a chance to put your worries aside and sing like nobody is listening. While having fun, you are also praising God through music. Most of the songs available for singing are from local gospel artistes which is also a great way of promoting local talent

More Information about this Gospel Karaoke Night
The Gospel Karaoke Night is an event is organized by Emerald Events Management Limited, and the venue, Petma Restaurant is on Kimanthi Street, just opposite KFC. They are charging 200 bob as entrance fee for the event and it starts at 7pm and runs through to midnight.
Emceeing the event will be MC Abel while DJs Sadic and Touch will be on the decks. MC Kelly and the PHD Dancers are also in the mix and therefore this seems like a great event that a fun loving christian cannot miss on. Looking at the list, this fourth edition seems to be going old school with the songs that are available with songs like Haijalishi by Daady Owen.
For that reason, I would suggest you dress old school and get prepared to sing, dance, laugh and have fun on the 4th Gospel Karaoke Night. It is also a great place for the young Christians to go out and experience an new idea of ‘going out’.
