Some Kenyans have been up in arms because the leader from “the great land” will not be setting foot in the country. Apparently he will be visiting Senegal, Tanzania (very close to Kenya) and South Africa. This most Kenyans claim, is due to the fact that Uhuru Kenyatta (now Kenyan president) has a court case at The Hague. All this is speculation and rumors have been running right, left and center.
So what if he doesn’t pass through Kenya despite the fact that he will be in Tanzania? Does it really matter? Mark you the guy is not even Kenyan. Having your roots in Kenya doesn’t make you Kenyan. The problem most Kenyans face is with their school of thought, that Obama is Kenyan.
We should jog our memories. Obama was born in Honolulu the state of Hawaii. Another fact is that if the guy was Kenyan then he wouldn’t have made it to become president of “the great land”. See?
When His secretary of state Hilary Clinton jetted into the country it was like a movie in the making. You know how you watch Scandal and you see Fitz (acting as president of the USA) surrounded by security and he is totally covered? That is what happened when she came.
A whole section of town was cordoned off from the public. There were sniffing dogs everywhere near the Intercontinental Hotel and areas surrounding the premises. As it is the norm security was very tight, too tight. Upon alighting from her plane, Clinton briefly waved at the journalists standing meters away before she was whisked into a white land cruiser. The Land Cruiser was part of a 24 car motorcade. Among the vehicles in the motorcade were four similar white Land Cruisers and two mini buses, used to transport staff and the American press travelling with her. GSU officers and KK S
ecurity formed part of her escort. This was security for a secretary of state.
Surely who wants to go through the torture of finding out what security for the great president would be like? I for one think the whole of Kenya would be cordoned off, and then what happens? The citizens would be plunged into a lot of confusion, traffic jams not included. All this because the great Obama visited Kenya. I pity the countries where he is going to tour because they will not have to check into theaters to watch the ‘FAST AND THE FURIOUS”. It will be showing live, in their own country.
So Obama thank you for choosing not to plunge us into total confusion. Thank you for being so considerate and trust me, we are not complaining.
For people like Rodgers they are acting out of ignorance.
