The much awaited first eviction came as no big surprise, at least to most Kenyans; Huddah Monroe is out of Big Brother Africa the Chase. I must admit I was the least beat surprised by her eviction… And I am certain she was not surprised as well, I wonder why she had to shed the tears after all, and she could see it coming, just like the rest of Kenyans and Africans at large.
As a matter of fact, her eviction was long overdue; she should have been evicted on the premier last weekend. But what would have led to her eviction?

Until her recent appearance on Big Brother Africa the Chase, it was hard finding pictures of Huddah Monroe wearing any clothes. A quick search on Google is proof that Huddah Monroe is addicted to what many of us consider normal dressing. Unfortunately, as a socialite, she took off not just “most” of her clothes, and by most I mean everything, but also her personalities with the hope she will be able to let her fan’s imaginations fly and share life with her week by week while on Big Brother.
You see, technology is both a blessing and a curse. While it allows us to keep up with the latest happenings around the globe, the same technology is fast eroding what we Africans, and particularly Kenyans, have held on so dearly – our morals. Seeing our very own representative to Big Brother the Chase naked is an abomination for lack of a better word.
Her eviction from the Big Brother House was as fast as the rate at which she gets her clothes off, but isn’t that what a socialite should be doing? Pleasing the eyes? Of great concern was her skimpy dressing even while inside the house, something which many people felt was not appropriate. Exercising on her bikini, asking for a massage and moaning and groaning suggestively barely 24 hours after getting into the house, and being too “bare” and “open’ about herself all worked against her.

You see, Huddah’s eviction, and that of Denzel, her co-evictee of the night, was proof enough that nudity and good looks cannot take anyone anywhere, at least not in the Top rated African game. Uganda’s Denzel eviction on the other hand was no huge surprise as well. I mean, this is someone who spent most of his times in the house in his briefs than any other piece of clothing, his pintsized body notwithstanding. He also had a very dirty mouth, akin to a public city council toilet, talking about sex and how he can “drive women crazy in bed”.
Unfortunately, their strategies worked against them. Huddah had received 7 eviction nominations while Denzel had Six. We hope that the remaining Kenyan Contestant, Anne Mbaru, will learn from Huddah’s mistakes and keep her clothes on long enough to remain in the House for as long as Prezzo had stayed, and hopefully bring home the coveted $USD 300,000.
